Appleton / Fox Cities Salvation Army Meets Goal
So blessed to share that thanks to all our wonderful donors, volunteers and community supporters that on January 31, 2018 we met and surpassed our 2017 Christmas Campaign goal - raising $1,125,924 here in the Fox Cities.
(Appleton) The campaign goal to raise $1.1 million dollars that began on November 2017 and ended January 31, 2018 has raised a total of $1,125,924.
The donations came in through the Red Kettle Campaign, direct mail donations and other various gifts from individuals, area companies and foundations. For over 100 years the Salvation Army has been in Appleton making a difference to those who struggle and are in need. All that we do depends upon the generosity of the community and volunteers.
This campaign makes up more than two-thirds of the Salvation Army’s yearly operating budget, which help people struggling in the community have a warm meal, a safe place to sleep, prescriptions, or clothing items. The Salvation Army has been in our community for over 100 years - and each year, thousands of area men, women, and children find shelter, food, and other assistance.
