Because volunteers give generously of time, talent and energy on behalf of the disadvantaged, The Salvation Army is able to help thousands of Fox Cities’ families, children, individuals and seniors each year. We rely on volunteers to help us every day, from serving a free hot lunch seven days a week to the special gift of time during the busy holiday season when we need nearly 10,000 hours of support by bell ringers alone. We are an “Army’ of volunteers.
Volunteers come to The Salvation Army as individuals, families or community organizations. Volunteer opportunities can be either short- or long-term commitments. Much of the volunteer work is seasonal, helping with the many programs of The Salvation Army at Christmas including the Toy Shop, Coats for Kids, and Food Basket Distribution along with the all important bell-ringing.
Services of The Salvation Army continue year-round because we are committed to Doing the Most Good for those in need. Ongoing volunteer opportunities include working with young people at The Salvation Army Corps Worship & Community Center, helping with feeding programs for people of all ages, lending a hand in The Salvation Army’s emergency food pantry, office help, assisting in our Senior Program or being an on-call driver for various needs as they arise.
The Salvation Army’s volunteer coordinator works with groups and individuals to match their interests and needs with those of The Salvation Army. Our prayer is that our volunteers experience joy and satisfaction as they continue to share their resources with others. If you are seeking a meaningful way to serve others, The Salvation Army would love to have you aboard.
Please submit the application by following the instructions on the form. You should receive a phone call within two or three business days. For questions call the volunteer coordinator at 920-955-1230.Volunteer Coordinator e-mail link.

The miracle of Christmas happens again and again through joy, caring, and sharing. The Salvation Army Red Kettle is a tradition of the Christmas scene in the Fox Cities, with thousands of dollars donated each year to aid needy families, seniors, and the homeless of our community.
Many of The Salvation Army programs operate only because of the time and donations we receive through the Red Kettle Campaign. Donations provide food and shelter for families in need. Financial assistance helps with basic necessities as well as seasonal assistance.
In mid September of each year, on-line and phone sign-up begin for those who wish to bell ring. The Salvation Army-Fox Cities has many indoor and outdoor locations (including kettle huts) throughout the Fox Valley for ringing. Bell ringing hours vary per location and are available Monday-Saturday. Please note we do not ring on Sundays. Call 920-955-1225 Volunteer Coordinator e-mail link.
